Last Thursday, the kids had "50's Day" as part of their Homecoming Dress-Up Week at school. And while the pictures didn't turn out quite as good as the ones I took for Career Day, the kids looked just as good.
Cowboy insisted that since I wasn't alive in the 1950s, I didn't know how they dressed back then. (C'mon, I watched "Happy Days"!) So since he knew best, the sleeves and the pants legs didn't stay rolled up like they started out, but at least we got the hair slicked down a bit. Cat definitely looked ready to head for a sock hop!
One of the teachers commented the next day that her entire class looked like a postcard for the fifties, just like she "would have" remembered it looking if she had been alive way back then. Ahem.
My favorite photo of the morning:
Now that's a picture worth writing about!

Well, that's just adorable!
They still have sock hop days and so on? I DREAD the day my girls go to an "Eighties" dance or something. And want to borrow my leg warmers.
