Bird Photography Weekly #9
This week my contribution is a pair of shots of the largest of our indigenous species of egrets, the Great Egret (also known as the American Egret or the Common Egret).
Great shots! I love the reflection in the top one. Our Egrets are long gone, but I did see some when I was at Brigantine a few days ago (hello, it over 2 hours south of me though.)
Thanks all. These shots were both taken last month, shortly after Hurricane Ike blew through. I'm still seeing a few egrets flying over these days, but haven't seen any on the ground here in at least a couple of weeks now.

Nice shots of an interesting bird. We have a great egret out here in Australia which looks very similar to your photos.

Great capture with the reflection as well. A lovely bird.

Really nice shots. I wish I saw more of these more often. I think they make for excellent subjects. They're so graceful looking.
