Since our skies for the past few days have been a dull, featureless gray, I've been thinking a lot of bluer skies from earlier in the year. These shots were taken of and from the suspension bridge over the Brazos River in Waco, Texas, while we were there for Baylor Homecoming a couple of months ago.

We had beautiful blue skies yesterday, but most of the rest has been cloudy and gray. Today it is back to snow. I invite you to come see my Coastal BC snow warning. -- Margy
The blue in your shots is exceptional! We had gray skies for too many days around here also. Finally this week they opened up. Lovely shots!
A truly beautiful bridge and nice blue skies. Glad you posted them.
I've not been to that part of Texas. Very interesting bridge, and your photos make the most of it.
Happy skywatch!

All- Thanks for the nice comments and for visiting. The skies here in Houston finally cleared up for a day or two, but they're starting to cloud over again. Just in time to rain on tonight's fireworks, most likely.
As for the suspension bridge, it is a marvelous structure. Complete with a troll that lives under it, according to local legend. ;-)
Susan- I wouldn't dare... you might sick Lucy on me!
Lusia- Um, sorry, but no. I do appreciate the visit, but I've seen the exact same comment posted on a dozen other sites, and just as off topic as here. I'm not a big fan of spammers.
