Bird Photography Weekly: Eastern Phoebe

In honor of the curious little Eastern Phoebe that followed us down the trail at the park last Saturday, here are a handful of phoebes for your enjoyment.

I wish a bird (any bird) would follow us whenever we go birding. : -)

Nice pictures!

These photos are wonderful. I had one singing outside my window just at dawn on Tuesday but didn't see him and haven't heard him since. Enjoyed seeing your photos.

Wouldn't it be neat if birds were into people watching? I wonder how they would organize their life lists!

These are absolutely beautiful. If I were to vote on personality shots it would have to be the last one. I love it! I tried to comment on the prevous post but couldn't. I really like that one too. I'll try it again.

Great phoebe photos (sounds like an oath, doesn't it? ) One of the things I like best about bird/nature watching is the interaction with the wild world.

I adore Phoebes. I don't believe I've ever had one follow me; although I did have a Redstart playing leap frog with me years ago. These are wonderful photos, but I particularly like the first one.

Phoebes are awfully cute birds. I like the photo of the one where it is about to take off.
