I love these little masked banditos.

And I just couldn't resist sharing this one, perched in the perfect spot: just above Audubon Springs Drive.

Great photos - especially the first one which has so much detail.

I love shrikes. I saw my first one late last year. They are such cute little predators.

Wow, that shot of the shrike on the sign is so wonderful!

Good birding to you!

Very cool shots of the Shrikes Kyle! Being an Audubon member, I too really like the capture atop the sign. Reminds me of a photograph I got permission to use of a Burrowing Owl atop a burrowing owl identification sign at the end of this post.

Aww, a shrike! I still haven't seen one. Wonder if ABA will let me "count" yours - it's great!

...we don't get many shrikes around our town. Loved seeing yours. The shrike caught sitting on the Audubon street sign is classic!

Very beautiful bird. Nice photo. :))) The one on the sign board is looking directly at the camera. :)))

Now that's one bird I've only seen once or twice and that was the fall of '07 in Monterey County (Calif). I'm glad you shared this one - especially the one on the sign.

I wonder if the shrike knew where it was? Nice catch!
