Actually, this was at the edge of a new neighborhood next to a small forested area near my office. I saw him as I passed on my way to lunch, did a quick u-turn and crept as close in the truck as I could get without spooking him.

Thanks, Karen. Actually, I think I spotted a link to your "Texas Insects" post in a comment you left on Wren's blog. Anything Texas always interests me, so I clicked over and really enjoyed what I saw. Added your page to my blog list so I can see even more. :-)
