Eastern Bluebird (Sialia sialis)

These are what I'm really looking forward to again: the bluebirds of summer. Last summer, in fact, with the golden sun shining above and plenty of good ol' Texas heat warming the heart and scorching the grass.

...lovely captures of the bluebird, and the color green looks so good! I had almost forgotten what it looks like. All I've seen for the past couple of months is white and grey it seems...(with more white on the way tonight!).

No wonder they are called "bluebirds of happiness" - they have such a beauty that lifts the spirit even on a cold winter day. Awesome photos!

Beautiful captures of one of my all time favorite birds Kyle. I spotted a couple of Western Bluebirds in my yard for the Greta Backyard Bird Count yesterday. What a joy!

Beautiful birds and photos of them. Be careful for what you wish!! Summertime down here in Queensland, Australia and it's so very hot and steamy. We are wishing for cooler weather soon!
